Dr Hillairet was my obgyn for my first pregnancy. Basically, I would not recommend for pregnancies or any complicated situation, but if you are looking for someone to just do routine annual check-ups then she might be convenient. Positives are that it was very easy to get to her office (Cornavin) and quite easy to get appointments, and she also has a very nice bedside manner. Negatives were that 1. (Most important) she no longer does deliveries. I was already pregnant at my first meeting with her (I had changed to her because I liked her background as a midwife) but somehow she never thought to mention that she doesn't attend actual deliveries until I specifically asked her how the birth would work when I was already 4 months pregnant. 2. There were some other basics in terms of providing support and communicating about the process that were missing too, like for example she never walked us through the timeline of when you get tested for what in Switzerland, where to go for prenatal classes and when, what would happen at the next appointment etc. We had to be very proactive ourselves, and I got the sense she was only doing the bare minimum. 3. In a similar vein, she could really only do the basics herself. For anything else (even basic obgyn questions about what vaccines I could get during pregnancy, early mammogram screenings) she referred me to someone else, usually another of her colleagues at MedBase, so I ended up with a bunch of additional appointments, which was very time consuming. Strangely, she also never communicated with her own colleagues so it was always up to me to impart my whole case history and then also to report back to her what they had said. In the end I felt like I was being shuttled between them just to make money and was wasting my time. Anyway this was just my opinion but I hope this review may help others looking for an obgyn in Geneva. It can be quite overwhelming, especially as an expat!

In the beginning very sweet and gentle doctor, who is taking care of her patients. After a while she shows a true face and doesn’t want to help patient in difficult moments. Not professional at all, don’t take care of her patients. Her only goal it’s to get more patients. Thank you Dr. for the support you didn’t provide while I was going through a difficult moment in my life. I wouldn’t recommend her at all!

Le dr Alexandra Hillairet est une gynécologue très à l'écoute, très souriante et très douce. Elle prend le temps d'expliquer et elle assure un suivi très complet. Elle sait aussi conseiller des spécialistes lorsqu'il s'agit d'un probleme plus particulier à fin d'avoir un suivi complet et de qualité. Je la recommande vraiment à toute personne et qui veut également comprendre le diagnostic au-delà des médicaments qui peuvent être prescrits.

Gynécologue parfaite comme il n'en n'existe plus beaucoup! La Drsse me suit depuis le début de son installation et a géré toute ma grossesse également. Douce, à l'écoute, professionnelle, compétente, soucieuse du bien-être de ses patientes et très attentive au suivi, souriante,... un vrai plaisir de se rendre à un rendez-vous médical. Je compte bien continuer mes suivis avec elle. Etant radiologue, nous avons de nombreuses patientes en commun et qui pensent toutes comme moi. Je la recommande donc sans aucune hésitation!
